To remove their name from

A declaration about peace / war mongering in Sudan

We all look the other way

Not only the United Arab Emirates

But many countries are gaining

And stand to gain more from

The genocide in Sudan

News media with its ultra short focus

Leave the tough news to others

Others are absent

We are absent

As Eli Wiesel said (paraphrase) :

"One day there is nobody to stand up for us"

"As we stood by to see the others slaughtered"
