Yes elections where tight in the Netherlands

I think of Sudan

Where conflict is rampant

And as I remember the Zaghawa people

Hope is ever present

As is their resilience, humor and dignity

A lesson for our little country

When shit hits the fan

One can still act as a human

Inclusive, caring

Open heart, soulful

Skilled survivors

Despite the world's closed eyes

Lack of care

Lack of attention

They can still smile

As I remember
