Euthanasia - as the world looks on

As today I will be present at 4 euthanasia cases

I thought to share my thoughts on the topic

Of all the hundreds of euthanasia cases I was present

As a forensic doctor never have I felt that

The deceased was forced

Or not free to make his / her choice in the end of life

It involves at least 3 doctors and sometimes many more

It is a procedure that is not decided in a day

It is tested and tried by a neutral organ

It works

Almost 10,000 cases in 2024 in the Netherlands

I wonder how the end of life is treated in other countries

With the same honesty?
