Dr. Ashis Brahma is a seasoned forensic medical doctor and a passionate storyteller with over two decades of experience in infectious disease control, forensic medicine, and tropical medicine. Currently serving as a forensic medical doctor at GGD Twente & West-Brabant, Zeeland, he is dedicated to advancing public health both in the Netherlands and internationally.
Dr. Brahma is a firm believer in the power of art in healthcare, utilising storytelling as a tool to share knowledge, inspire empathy, and foster positive change. He is the co-author of "Utmost," a book documenting the experiences of health professionals in emergency and humanitarian contexts. He also hosts the "Planetary Health Talks" podcast, facilitating conversations with experts from diverse disciplines on the challenges facing our planet.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Brahma actively participated in dialogues across various media platforms, sharing his expertise and insights with a wide audience.
His current endeavors include exploring innovative applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, conducting engaging play shops using role-play and storytelling to address planetary health issues, and expressing his creativity through writing, painting, and music.
